- How many slides should an investor pitch deck have?
- Fifteen to twenty core slides, with detail pushed into an appendix. Partner meetings run on narrative, so each slide should make exactly one argument.
- What do institutional investors look for first?
- Quality of the problem framing, credibility of the market build-up and the honesty of the unit economics. Traction matters, but a defensible model matters more at diligence stage.
